Last Update 6 months ago

The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a scheme formed by the UK Government to encourage private households, communities, and businesses to install renewable energy technologies for heating purposes, through financial support.

The RHI was first established in April 2014, and on the 22nd of May 2018, the latest regulations came into effect. RHI was set up in order to minimise the effects of climate change, as well as being the main driver towards the UK’s goal for 2020, which is to have 12% of heating coming from renewable energy sources like an Air Source Heat Pump.

This has ended now and has been updated to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme
